We are actively trying to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by taking measures to limit the risk of infection to our patients and our staff. Please be advised of the following:
Masks are required for all persons entering the clinic. This is consistent with current public health guidelines for people in public spaces.
Staff will be asking screening questions to all patients for potential signs and symptoms of COVID-19 including:
Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Runny nose or nasal congestion
Recent travel from outside of Manitoba or from a COVID-19 hotspot within Manitoba
Recent contact with someone known to have COVID-19
Anyone with risk-factors for COVID-19 AND who has not received a negative test for COVID-19 will not be permitted to enter the clinic. This is limit the risk of viral spread to other patients and to our team members.
In most instances, a virtual visit will be offered instead of an in-person visit for those patients with risk factors for COVID-19
In some instances, if the physician deems that an in-person visit is required, then the patient will be directed to an appropriate alternative facility or some other plan will be made for timely care
Anyone with risk-factors for COVID-19 but who has a recent negative test for COVID-19 will be placed into our isolation room prior to physician assessment.
Only the patient will be permitted into the clinic. If an escort is required, please advise the staff. This is to allow for greater social distancing in our waiting area and exam rooms.
In the case of children, we ask that only one parent attend with the child
All patients will be asked to sanitize their hands with either alcohol-based sanitizer OR soap and water upon entering the clinic. We encourage all patients to also sanitize their hands prior to leaving the facility.
